Chicken wings
I got asked how I made the wings on my plastic conversions of harpies.
You know what they say: an image says more than a 1000 words, so I made a little image tutorial that should answer that question :)
Enjoy!

Hosting the "Golden Tom" painting competition and giving away (producing and shipping) real trophies costs money. So far we (users Admin Tom, SerialMoM and floedebolle) have paid for this out of our pocket. Why? Because this is a great community!
But in order to keep this up, we need your help.
Every contribution matters and will go towards the production costs of the "Golden Tom" painting and modelling competition. Specifically: casting and shipping trophies.

Hey Tom!
I'd like to thank you for such an elaborate tutorial. Sorry it took me a while I've been busy with exams.
I've made three harpies, and still working on their wings. The texturing is abit time consuming as you say!
p.s. My girlfriend really liked the conversion inspiration you gave us, and she thought your tutorial was cute and awesome as well.

Hey Nick!
Nice to hear from you! I am glad you and your gf liked the tutorial :)
If you feel like sharing pics of your own harpies I would be happy to post them here too (with due credit to you of course). Alternatively you are cordialy invited to join my forum and post pics over there (fantasy wargames section).
Good luck with any further exams you might have (chemistry I suppose? ;)
Cheers,
Tom
